The role
The day is a list: open orders waiting on acknowledgement, follow-ups due, confirmations to record. Most of it is email and a purchasing tracker, with a few short calls to suppliers who prefer the phone.
You will write to suppliers in clear, businesslike English and keep the tone steady even on the fourth follow-up. Accuracy with quantities, part codes and dates matters more than speed.
You report to a purchasing lead who checks your first weeks closely and takes anything that needs a commercial decision.
What you'll do
- Send approved purchase orders to suppliers and confirm receipt
- Follow up on orders that have not been acknowledged
- Record confirmed dates, quantities and any changes against each order
- Flag delays and discrepancies to the buyer the same day
What we're looking for
- Careful with numbers, part codes and dates
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and email all day
- Polite and persistent when following up
- Reliable on an agreed schedule
What we offer
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in India or Pakistan
- Regular daytime hours, agreed in advance
- Paid monthly, INR 19,000–27,000 or local equivalent, depending on experience
